A Hindu temple complex built by the Cham kingdom between the 8th and 12th centuries, set on a hill above the Cai River with brick towers still used for worship. The site is compact and atmospheric, with carvings and city views. Dress modestly and expect robes to be lent at the entrance.

It is one of Khanh Hoa's proudest dishes.
Order it as a build-your-own platter and don't skimp on the herbs and the dipping sauce, which make the dish; it is best eaten hot off the grill.

The yellow Route 18 shuttle links Cam Ranh airport with central Nha Trang along the coast road in around an hour. By far the cheapest way in, comfortable enough, though it runs to a set timetable rather than on demand.
Metered and fixed-fare taxis wait outside arrivals for the 35km run into the city. Convenient with luggage or on late flights, but agree the fare first, use the official rank and avoid drivers touting inside the terminal.
Ride-hailing cars serve Cam Ranh airport with the price fixed in the app, which makes them clear and usually fair for the airport run. You will need local data or airport wifi to book and to meet the driver at the pickup point.
Ride-hailing motorbikes are the quickest, cheapest way to zip around Nha Trang, with the fare set in the app. A helmet is provided; hold on and keep bags secured on busy coastal roads.
Air-conditioned ride-hailing cars are handy for groups, luggage or hot afternoons, with a fixed in-app fare that avoids any meter dispute. Coverage is good across the compact city centre and beach strip.
The central grid and the long beach promenade are flat and very walkable, ideal for strolling between cafes, the market and the sand. Cross the main coast road with care, as motorbike traffic is constant.
The dry season runs roughly from January to August and is the best time to visit, with warm sunny days, calm blue seas and clear skies; the early months of the year bring the gentlest weather for the beach and islands. High summer is hottest, so carry sun protection, while the wet season from September to December brings heavier rain, occasional storms and rougher water, when boat trips may be cancelled.
Two to three days is enough to enjoy the beach, do one island-hopping boat tour, visit Po Nagar and Long Son Pagoda, and soak at the hot springs. Add more time if you want to dive, relax by the sea or use the city as a base for nearby coastal spots.
The Route 18 airport shuttle bus is by far the cheapest option and runs along the coast road into central Nha Trang in about an hour. A fixed-fare taxi or a ride-hailing car is faster and better with luggage, but costs several times more.

The wet season from September to December brings the heaviest rain and the occasional storm, when island boat tours are most likely to be cancelled and the sea is rough. If the beach and islands are your priority, aim for the dry months from January to August.
