Καλύτερη εποχή για επίσκεψη

Ιανουαρίου–Μαρτίου και Νοεμβρίου–Δεκεμβρίου

Visit between November and March, when days are warm and pleasant, around 20–30°C, and evenings are cool — ideal for the Corniche, outdoor parks and sightseeing. Avoid June to September, when summer heat regularly tops 40°C with high humidity, pushing most activity indoors to malls and air-conditioned attractions.

Ασφάλεια

ΠροειδοποίησηSummer heat and sun are extreme, often above 40°C with high humidity from June to September. Limit midday sun, wear a hat and sunscreen, and drink water constantly to avoid heat exhaustion.
ΠροσοχήHighways are wide, fast and busy, and traffic moves quickly; jaywalking is fined. Cross only at designated crossings and take care as a pedestrian near multi-lane roads.
ΠροσοχήAbu Dhabi is very safe with very low crime, but it is a Muslim emirate with conservative norms. Dress modestly at religious sites and in public, avoid public displays of affection, drink alcohol only in licensed venues, and note that drug laws are strict.

Συχνές ερωτήσεις

How many days do I need in Abu Dhabi?

Two to three days covers the highlights: a day for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre and Qasr Al Watan, a day on Yas Island's theme parks, and time for the Corniche and Saadiyat. Add a day for a desert or Al Ain trip.

Can I do Abu Dhabi as a day trip from Dubai?

Yes. Abu Dhabi is about 90 minutes by car, taxi or intercity bus from Dubai. A day trip works for one or two sights, usually the Grand Mosque plus the Louvre or a Yas Island park, but staying overnight lets you see much more.

What is the dress code at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque?

Modest, loose clothing covering shoulders, arms and legs; women also cover their hair with a scarf. Entry is free. The mosque has traditionally provided cover-ups at the entrance, but bring your own modest clothing as the loaner policy has been changing.

How do I get around Abu Dhabi?

Metered silver taxis and ride-hailing apps are cheap and easy. Public buses are inexpensive but need a pre-paid Hafilat card, as they take no cash. Renting a car suits trips to Yas Island, the desert or Al Ain.

What are the rules on alcohol and local laws?

Alcohol is served in licensed hotels, bars and restaurants, and adults may buy it in licensed stores, but public drunkenness is illegal. Drug laws are very strict, and public affection or offensive gestures can cause trouble. Overall Abu Dhabi is extremely safe and welcoming to respectful visitors.
