It is a distinctly Hejazi tradition sold from family stalls around Jeddah, especially through Ramadan, with a tangy, faintly fizzy taste unlike anything most visitors will have tried.
Look for street vendors and small shops in and around Al-Balad; it is usually served ice-cold in disposable cups.

Al-Balad and the Corniche are pleasant on foot, but the city overall is spread out and hot for much of the year, so ride-hailing is the practical way to move between areas.
