The Plaza viewing level between the two halves is free but needs a same-day timed pass, giving a sweeping 360-degree view over the harbour. Concert tickets sell out months ahead, so book early if you want to hear the acoustics.

The S1 line runs directly from Hamburg Airport to the main station and centre in around 25 minutes on a normal HVV zones A/B ticket. By far the cheapest and often the fastest link, running every ten minutes for most of the day.
