Langkawi International Airport uses a fixed-fare coupon system. Buy a prepaid ticket at the taxi desk in arrivals so the price is set, then take the marked cab outside. The short run to Pantai Cenang is cheap and takes around fifteen to twenty minutes.
Ride-hailing with Grab works at the airport and is often cheaper than a coupon taxi, with the fare fixed in the app. You need local data or airport wifi to book, and pickups are busiest and easiest in daytime around Pantai Cenang and Kuah.
Fast ferries link Langkawi with the mainland ports of Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perlis, and seasonally with Penang, arriving at the Kuah jetty. A scenic budget alternative to flying, though sailings depend on the weather and sea conditions.
