Fake taxi and ride overcharge — Use the Grab app so the price is fixed in advance, or insist on the meter in a licensed taxi. At the airport use the official taxi coupon counter or the train, and never accept a driver who approaches you in the arrivals hall.
Gem, watch and electronics touts — Be wary of anyone who befriends you and then leads you to a specific shop. Buy valuables only from established stores, never from a stranger's recommendation, and walk away from high-pressure pitches.
