Metered silver taxis from the Zayed International Airport rank cost roughly AED 80–120 to the Corniche or downtown including the airport surcharge. Reliable but pricier than the bus.
App-based cars show the fare before you confirm, similar to a taxi, with surge pricing during Yas Island events. Head to the marked ride-hailing pickup zones outside the terminals.
The cheapest option at about AED 4, paid with a Hafilat card. It connects the airport to the city but is slower with stops; best for light luggage and a tight budget.

Yes. Abu Dhabi is about 90 minutes by car, taxi or intercity bus from Dubai. A day trip works for one or two sights, usually the Grand Mosque plus the Louvre or a Yas Island park, but staying overnight lets you see much more.
Modest, loose clothing covering shoulders, arms and legs; women also cover their hair with a scarf. Entry is free. The mosque has traditionally provided cover-ups at the entrance, but bring your own modest clothing as the loaner policy has been changing.
Metered silver taxis and ride-hailing apps are cheap and easy. Public buses are inexpensive but need a pre-paid Hafilat card, as they take no cash. Renting a car suits trips to Yas Island, the desert or Al Ain.
Alcohol is served in licensed hotels, bars and restaurants, and adults may buy it in licensed stores, but public drunkenness is illegal. Drug laws are very strict, and public affection or offensive gestures can cause trouble. Overall Abu Dhabi is extremely safe and welcoming to respectful visitors.
